We have analysed
a total of 100 patients with acute coronary syndrom (ACS) according
to the severity and prognosis of their coronary artery disease
by using a standard markers of acute myocardial infarction (AMI),
as well as troponin and myoglobin test. We have made laboratory
tests on the first day of acute symptoms. These results were compared
to the standard laboratory tests (CK, CK-Mb and LDH). Our aim
was to evaluate sensitivity and specificity of method. According
to our results we concluded that troponin and myoglobin test became
an important parameter in the diagnostic of ACS. Furthermore,
troponin test have an imoprtant prognostic value in patients with
unstablne angina and non-Q infarct, as well as in the patients
with chest pain. Troponin test is a standard test in the judgment
of myocardial necrosis and in the Western Europe it has become
as the only parameter of diagnostic, prognosis and treatment.
