Background:
definition of polymetabolic syndrome-diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia,
hypertension, resistance to insulin. Main disordes is insulin
resistance. It sholud be emphasised that syndroma "X" egzists
as an cardiological term too. Main characteristcs of syndrome
"X" are:
1. Android
type of obesity and endocrinological disorders
2. Glucosa intolerance
3. Hypertrigliceridemia
4. Hypertension
5. Importance of fibrinolitical system
Measures in detecting sydrome "X"
Tretament of patients with insulin resistance syndrom - non-medicament
and medicament
Conclusion: article reviewed basic pathogenetical mechanisms
of insulin resistance with special view to role of so called "small
density LDL particles", influence on cardiovascular system.
