Coronary
artery disease (CAD) is still the main cause of mortality in the
western developed and other developing countries. Coronary angiography
is a gold standard for diagnosis of CAD. In this study we showed
our experience in coronary angiography performed on more than
1500 cases. It includes our results, main complications, coronary
anomalies, compared with the literature data. We also mentioned
and commented some new developments such as radial approach, suture
based closure device, usage 4F or 5F catheters as welll as our
approach of early mobilization and discharge of patients. We also
compared the incraesing usage of non-invasive coronary angiography
with 3D MRCA (magnetic resonance coronary angiography), high speed
multi slice spiral CT with invasive coronary angiography.
Keywords: coronary, angiography, non-invasive.
